The soldiers of the Chechen special unit Akhmat, who were sent to Rostov-on-Don yesterday to suppress the Wagner mutiny, are now returning to the war zone. The fighters strictly adhered to the orders and did not allow bloodshed, the head of the Russian republic of Chechnya stressed.

The Chechen special unit Akhmat returns to the war zone from Rostov, where it had been sent to suppress the Wagner mutiny. This was announced by the commander of the special forces Apty Alaudinov, as can be seen from the video of the Chechen state news channel CHGTRK Grozny. Alaudinov said verbatim:

"Now we have the order to return to our battle lines, where the enemy is waiting for us."

The head of the Russian republic of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, thanked the Chechen fighters who were sent to Rostov-on-Don on June 24 and praised them in his Telegram channel. He described their actions as "extremely effective and thoughtful." Kadyrov wrote:

"Our guys showed their high combat effectiveness, as well as the readiness to defend the homeland at any cost at the first order."

The fighters quickly arrived at the scene and waited for further orders. Any decision made by oneself could have led to a massacre. The fighters acted strictly according to the order and fulfilled their task with flying colors, Kadyrov wrote. He added that in the meantime, their positions at the front were also successfully held by the Russian reserves.

On Saturday morning, June 24, fighters from the Akhmat Special Forces and the 78th Motorized Regiment of the North Akhmat Special Forces, fighting on the front near Maryinka, were temporarily transferred to the vicinity of the city of Rostov-on-Don to conduct anti-terrorist operations against rebellious Wagner fighters. All this could be ended without bloodshed.
