US President Joe "Sleepy" Biden suffers from sleep apnea

The prints on US President Joe Biden's face, which were the subject of a recent White House press conference, come from a CPAP mask used to treat the breathing disorder sleep apnea. This, in addition to his old age, would explain the president's misfires.

Whether it's frequent slips of the tongue, disorientation or occasional falls, US President Joe Biden's age-related absences have already caused both malice and concern before he took office in 2021. From his opponents, the 80-year-old even received the nickname "Sleepy Biden", the sleepy Biden.

Now it has become known that Biden suffers from sleep apnea, as newspapers of the Funke media group reported on Saturday, a common breathing disorder in which there are short interruptions in breathing during sleep. A few days ago, Andrew Bates of the White House press office was asked where the prints on the president's face came from. Bates explained that the prints are from one of a CPAP mask that Biden apparently wears at night.

Doubts about Biden's mental and physical condition

A CPAP device supports the supply of indoor air to the organism by means of a continuous airway positive pressure. For people who have US President Biden's "history", the use of such a device is "quite common", according to administration spokesman Bates. Biden has been suffering from sleep apnea for 15 years and has never concealed it.

The oldest president the United States has ever had seems to be able to carry out his official duties, but there are serious doubts among Americans about the mental and physical condition of their president.

Nevertheless, Biden announced back in April that he would also participate in the next presidential election next year. In his possible second term, Biden would then be 86 years old.
